HORSETOOTH ARCHAEOLOGY: Digging StoutLocation: Loveland Museum, Loveland, CO
On Display: 1/10/2020-7/5/2020 Curator: Jennifer Cousino Funding: National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE) I completed a paid internship with the Loveland Museum the summer of 2019 on behalf of the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). Working with registrar Ashley Yager and history curator Jennifer Cousino, I researched, catalogued, and rehoused the Horsetooth Reservoir archaeological collection. This project involved condition reports, inventories, and fabrication of specially designed and labeled housing for over 600 objects while updating USBR’s ICMS record and the Museum’s PastPerfect files. Six months later, Loveland Museum opened an exhibit based on my research and curatorial interpretation and suggestions on January 10, 2020. |
Inside Interpretation: Anatomy of an ExhibitLocation: University of Denver Museum of Anthropology, Denver, CO
On Display: 5/31/2019-July 2019 Funding: DU After Dark Professor: Anne Amati Curators: Miguel Ferreira, Nick Dungey During a Dept. of Anthropology class at the University of Denver (DU), I was part of a group of students designing an exhibit about museum exhibit interpretation. As a member of the engagement team, I helped design exhibit engagement activities. This included open-ended questions for guests, a magnetic map so guests could design their own exhibit, and a time-lapse video of the process. We advertised and monitored the opening night at the end of May. |
